Come Celebrate With the RGFP Community!

Rio Grande Food Project's Hike to End Hunger is our most anticipated annual event! We hike in solidarity with neighbors facing food insecurity, spread awareness about hunger in Albuquerque communities, and raise funds to ensure everyone has access to nutritious food. We invite you to join us to honor 35 years of critical hunger alleviation work and to celebrate combined efforts to cultivate long-term food security in Albuquerque and surrounding communities. The Hike to End Hunger is our opportunity to gather and acknowledge the incredible work of our volunteers, partners, supporters, and friends and families, and to update everyone about Rio Grande Food Project's critical mission and our progress toward even more robust food pantry, urban garden, and community hub programming.

This year, we are excited to announce a NEW location for our Hike to End Hunger, just 2 miles east of Rio Grande Food Project:

Pat Hurley Park Lower Loop

5301 Rincon Rd. NW Albuquerque, NM 87105

9:00 - 10:00am: registration and 2024 Hike tees sales

10:00am: Hike program begins, followed by Hike kick-off

This event is family and dog-friendly, and FREE to anyone who would like to share their Saturday morning with the RGFP community!

Want to help even more? Set up an individual or company support page to share this event info and your fundraising goal with your friends, family, and colleagues. Then come out and hike with your friends and colleagues. Corporate sponsorships and donations also help support our hunger-relief programming. Email rgfp@rgfp.org for more information.

Registration opens at 9:00am and brief program begins at 10:00am at Pat Hurley Park. Immediately following the program, individuals, families, and teams set out on the marked path. Hikers can enjoy a choice of multiple paths from a casual stroll to stair-climbing extremes. After the hike, hikers can enjoy the park, make new friends, and relax with food refreshments available for purchase from local food trucks.

The 2024 Hike tees will be available for pre-event purchase in the coming weeks!
