Hi friends and family,
My daughter Iris and I are committed to raising $1,000 to support Rio Grande Food Project's hunger-relief and prevention work here in Albuquerque, and we're asking for your help. $1,000 will provide 40 low-income households with a week's worth of nutritious groceries!
Rio Grande Food Project offers nutritious food year-round to community members who need it most. Kids who would otherwise skip lunch, homeless and vulnerable teens, hungry college students, recently furloughed and fearful adults, veterans unable to find work, hard working moms and dads, grandparents raising their grandkids, and so many others have regular access to healthy food because of the Food Project.
RGFP has addressed hunger in Albuquerque for 31 years, but this 31st year is unlike any other. Families and individuals who have never asked for help before find themselves struggling due to school closings, furloughs, lay offs, and shuttered businesses.
Rio Grande Food Project is able to provide an average-size household with an entire week's worth of groceries for under $25! So donations of all sizes make a HUGE difference!
