Brian and I are volunteers at Rio Grande Food Project, in support of our local Albuquerque food pantry, urban garden and social service support to cultivate long-term food security.
We are celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary on October 29th, the same day as this Hike to End Hunger, so we decided to ask for a $45 donation if you can spare it at this time. Just a small donation makes a HUGE difference and will go a long way to alleviate hunger in our area.
RGFP sources food from a variety of places including local farmers so they can provide the freshest fruits and vegetables. And they have a thriving Urban Garden and nutrition classes so that people learn to grow and prepare healthy foods.
Consider that 1 in 4 kids in New Mexico skip meals or go to bed hungry. Your donation will help ensure food security!
