Hi Friends,

On Oct. 28th I'll be lining up at the Javalina Jundred to see if I can get 100 miles out of my legs in one go. It'll be my first attempt at the 100 mile ultra running distance and I couldn't be more excited. I am so incredibly grateful for all of the big and little things that had to happen to get me to that start line, and I want to pay it forward a bit, and use this opportunity to raise a little awareness about an organization in my current hometown of Albuquerque who is doing incredible work to address food security in our community. I'm lucky to work down the street from these folks and I've seen first hand the work that they are doing, the garden space that they are building, and the vision they have for food security in the future. They have been providing free groceries to our community for 34 years now, and are moving toward a vision of creating a client-choice grocery store model. They are truly inspiring!

The RGFP also happens to host a Hike to End Hunger each year to raise funds and awareness, which will take place the same day that I'll be running. Since I'm not able to join their hike, I've decided that I'd like to participate by raising funds and awareness during my run.
