Hunger impacts SO many in New Mexico...

Help Rio Grande food Project support our neighbors seeking not just food, but connection and community.

Hi all,

I wanted to do something good and make the world a better place. When I found out that 1 in 5 children in New Mexico don't have enough to eat, I wanted to do something. No one in our state should experience hunger. That is something we should all agree on, and act on.

That's why I created a fundraiser to support Rio Grande Food Project's annual Hike to End Hunger. Hunger impacts our neighbors in so many ways; they have to choose between putting food on the table or paying that overwhelming electric bill. Parents skip meals so that their kiddos can eat- they need the calories to stay focused in school and grow. This creates ripple effects across our communities and economies. At RGFP we know that hunger is not solved by food distributions alone. But nutritious food, offered consistently, respectfully, and along-side wraparound supports, is where long-term stability can potentially take root.
