Rio Grande Food Project has been addressing hunger in our community for 30 years! Feeding over 3700 kids, adults and seniors every month is a BIG task and we could use your help...

The reasons why people come to us for food aid are plentiful. Whether it is unemployment, underemployment, low or no retirement or social security benefits, medical bills, or simply being a child whose parent or guardian is struggling to make ends meet, the need for food assistance is real. Last year Rio Grande Food Project distributed over 1 million pounds of food. We are asking our community to set aside a few minutes to rally their friends, family, co-workers and networks to support our critical work. By following a few simple steps, you will be helping people of all ages needing emergency food assistance, and you'll help your friends feel good about doing good!

Starting a fundraiser is easy to do, and it's very satisfying offering others an opportunity to give back. We'll give you all the tools you'll need to make a difference. For as little as $5, your friends will be helping ensure we can continue to provide basic food needs so kids, individuals and seniors can focus on improving their quality of life. Not only that, we connect our clients with community partners to assist with job training, resume building, free emergency cell phones, utility bill (electric and water) assistance, recovery programs, financial literacy, pre-K childhood development, nutrition education and even gardening skills!
